Modern Community School (“MCS”, “we”, “our”, or “us”) operates the MCS Duty Tracker App (the “App”). This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use our App.

1. Information We Collect

  • Login Credentials:

    • Students, teachers, and administrators access the App with a username and password provided by the school.

    • These credentials are the same for each user group (students/teachers/admin) and are created/managed by the school administration.

  • Academic Information:

    • Homework, tests, announcements, and similar school-related data may be stored and displayed in the App.

  • No Personal Data:

    • We do not collect or store names, phone numbers, addresses, personal emails, or other personal identifiers.

2. How We Use Information

  • To allow students, teachers, and administrators to log in securely.

  • To provide access to school-related information such as homework, tests, and announcements.

  • To maintain basic functionality of the App, including limited offline storage (via local device storage).

3. Data Storage

  • Data is stored securely using Firebase Realtime Database (Google service).

  • Some information may also be stored locally on the device (via secure storage/Async Storage) to improve performance and offline access.

  • No data is shared or sold to third parties.

4. Third-Party Services

  • The App does not integrate third-party advertising or analytics.

  • The App may include direct links (e.g., to the school’s official website or Instagram page). These links are optional and covered by the respective platforms’ privacy policies.

5. Children’s Privacy

The App is intended for use by students, parents, teachers, and the school community for educational purposes only.

  • We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

  • All access is managed and controlled by the school.

6. Security

We take reasonable measures to protect the limited information handled by the App. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Updates will be posted on the school’s official website.
